Learn about careers in the legal profession. Prepare for the college application process. Enhance your resume with real work experience. San Francisco law firm Farella Braun + Martel launched its Diversity Pipeline Internship Program nine years ago to provide high school students from diverse and/or disadvantaged backgrounds with a unique opportunity to learn about the legal profession, prepare for higher education, and develop practical life skills.
Again this year, over an action-packed six weeks, Diversity Pipeline Interns will have the opportunity to engage in an award winning curriculum that includes: mentoring from attorneys practicing in diverse legal fields; a mock trial program; trips to a judge’s chambers and several client campuses; instruction regarding the college application and financial aid process; workshops on resume building and interviewing; and office work directed by various administrative departments.
Applicant Qualifications
Open to high school students from diverse and/or disadvantaged backgrounds who will be entering their senior year of high school in the fall of 2017, the Pipeline Internship Program seeks bright, motivated, and enthusiastic students who have an interest in the law, are eager to learn about being a lawyer, and want to actively participate in the program.
