Description
Outdoor Advanced Leadership Academy (OALA) is a unique leadership development program offered by the Y of San Francisco for youth in grades 6th-10th, in partnership with the California Waterfowl Association, that aims to cultivate an appreciation, understanding and love for the environment, while building skills that will allow youth to become active members of their communities.
This summer OALA will be offered as a free 7-day residential program with overnights at the Point Bonita YMCA, situated among the rolling hills and coastal bluffs of the Marin Headlands, and CWA’s Grizzly Ranch, a conservation and education center in the largest brackish water marsh in the Western United States, Suisun Marsh.
OALA is open to all youth and is not limited to youth who have participated in YMCA or CWA programs. To participate in OALA, please complete and return the program application to [email protected] no later than April 30th. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than May 12th.
