Apply for the UC Berkeley Raíces Blossom Program (November 14-16)

Description

The Raíces Recruitment and Retention Center of UC Berkeley is excited to host its 9th Annual Raíces Blossom Program (Blossom), formerly known as the Raíces Overnight Host Program. Blossom exposes 10th and 11th grade Bay Area high school students with a Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of a 2.5 and below to the college experience. Blossom's vision is to inspire students who may feel like school isn't for them to gain interest in continuing their education through a weekend on campus. Students will attend and participate in workshops focused on the various pathways to achieving higher education and workshops focused on fostering self-confidence and identity!

Blossom is scheduled for the weekend of Thursday November 14th through Saturday November 16th. The program will come at no expense to all participants. Participants will be hosted by current Cal students for two nights (Thursday and Friday). Those traveling by BART will receive a free one-way BART ticket from Downtown Berkeley to their home destination at the end of the program on Saturday. (The Raíces Center is not responsible for all other forms of transportation. However, if transportation is a financial burden, please reach out).
