Educator Opportunities

The Affiliate School Program, free to all K–12 schools, is a unique gateway to education resources, events, and tools designed to bring American history to life in the classroom. Our network of schools connects teachers and students to valuable resources, including online courses, classroom materials, and opportunities for students and teachers.

The Exploratorium Leadership Program is a two-year training and support program for alumni of the Teacher Institute who mentor and coach novice science teachers in the Exploratorium Teacher Induction Program. The goal of the Leadership Program is to train a group of veteran science teachers to apprentice novice teachers in science teaching using exploration and inquiry.

The Exploratorium Teacher Institute invites novice middle- and high-school science teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area to join an innovative, exciting, inquiry-based, and content-rich professional-development program specifically designed to support you in your science classroom.

The Exploratorium Teacher Institute (TI) has been the professional development home for middle school and high school math and science teachers since 1984.

The Education Department at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco provide a wide variety of resources, events and written materials for educators planning visits to the Museums with their students. You will find rich source material with which to prepare yourself and your students to visit the Museums, including teacher workshops, special events, temporary exhibition resources and much more.

School and teacher programs at The Contemporary Jewish Museum use art and culture as tools for teaching and learning, while encouraging dialogue and individual interpretation. Recognizing teachers as agents of change, the programs value the voices and creativity of all students.
