Questions to Guide Teacher Planning

GPS leaders developed these Questions to Guide Teacher Planning as “guideposts” to help teachers develop distance learning lesson plans that are relevant to students in this unique time, sustainable for those implementing them, and prioritize student equity and well-being. They’re designed to be relevant across all grade levels and subject areas, and applicable to individual or team planning. 

Bringing Your Instruction Online

Use this organizer to develop a plan for bringing each component of your instruction to life in a distance learning format, with a particular eye to what existing practices will work well online and what will need to be adapted significantly. This exercise can be completed by individual educators, grade/department teams, or school teams.

Student Agency Rubric

This learning rubric identifies specific noncognitive skills and habits that supports students’ success throughout their education. Because it enumerates the full range of these skills, this rubric is a centerpiece of classroom learning and can be used in many ways, including at a Student-Led Conference.
